Religious Liberty in the words of Attorney General Jeff Sessions:

"…Religious liberty and respect for religion have strengthened this country from the beginning. In fact, it was largely in order to enjoy and protect these rights that this country was settled and founded in the first place…"
 
"Our Founders wisely recognized that religion is not an accident of history or a passing circumstance. It is at the core of the human experience…"
 
"So our freedom as citizens has always been inextricably linked with our religious freedom as a people. It has protected both the freedom to worship and the freedom not to believe as well... this Department of Justice will never allow this secular government of ours to demand that sincere religious beliefs be abandoned. We will not require American citizens to give intellectual assent to doctrines that are contrary to their religious beliefs. And they must be allowed to exercise those beliefs as the First Amendment guarantees."

The safety of our nation depends upon our trust in Almighty God and the stand we take for His Righteousness. Let Freedom Ring

Today our nation once again celebrates its freedom. Just 241 years ago, the Continental Congress finally approved the wording of the Declaration of Independence as a bold declaration that they believed our God-given freedoms were worth fighting for. These words became a light to the world:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The Declaration of Independence has remained a rallying cry and our Constitution a model for other nations. The protection of our most sacred of all our values as enshrined in our Founding Documents and our Pledge of Allegiance, we are, "one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" speaks to why millions have immigrated to our shores over the past three centuries and why countless others have risked everything to preserve its foundation.

Since the beginning of time, people have willingly sacrificed blood and treasure for the cause of freedom. For generations, brave souls have fought and died for the American dream. It is a core longing woven into God's design of man and a primary reason that religious liberty was set forth as a leading principle in our nation's founding. The freedom to choose what and who you believe in should be one of the most basic and fundamental rights afforded to every citizen. And yet, this right is under attack like never before.

As we celebrate our freedom this July Fourth, we rejoice that we live in one of the most blessed countries on the planet… but we must also remain alert and active, never ignore the opposition, maintain a strong voice, and defend our religious liberties with passion and commitment.

God has has given America an hour of grace so we can redeem the time. It is incumbent upon all of us to be good stewards of this land which has been 'blessed by God' so that future generations may enjoy its Biblical heritage. Pray for God to rain down revival upon the people and restore our land:

Romans 13:11-12, "And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light."
